There are still a great deal out there that can’t get enough of their old school electronics. Well for those that enjoy having new technology with an older look, now you can get this boombox. It’ll play your iPod loud and clear, all the while looking like a boombox you would have had many years ago. You can even put it up on your shoulder and wander the streets, just for old times sake. Although you might run the risk of getting beat up if you tried.

The Lasonic i931 Boombox has a USB port, an SD/MMC memory card slot, remote control, microphone input, LCD display and then of course your average AM/FM radio. Since it is a dock in there, it will control and charge your iPod. Although they don’t actually mention which iPods this is compatible with. Since it’s a novelty gadget, the sound quality might be questionable. However, at least Amazon has it for a reduced price. You can pick it up through them for $122.95.

I doubt there will ever be a shortage of Fender fans out there and somehow I think Guitar Hero and games along those lines have created even more. Which makes T-mobile’s new special edition phone a great idea. At this point there’s a slight guitar craze even among those that don’t have a clue about guitars. Fender has become much like Harley in that people that don’t drive Harley’s still wear the products. Well this myTouch has a Fender look that’s bound to please any guitar lovers out there.

T-mobile has added more than that to their myTouch 3G. They’ve created a newer version that will be released later this year. It will have a 3.5mm headphone jack that will make things much easier for those that decide to pick up the phone. The Fender version itself comes with a pretty woodgrain finish. Then to top it off they’re tossing in a 16GB microSD card that is coming preloaded with music content. Right now there isn’t a whole lot of word on the actual release date though.

We recently covered a device from Kempler & Strauss in the form of the highly interesting W PhoneWatch, and it seems that the company wants to extend its 15 minutes of fame by another quarter of an hour by unveiling the Billionair 7 smartphone. Guess all the money in the world can’t buy an education since the world Billionair is mis-spelt (on purpose, no doubt), making us wonder what happened to the first six iterations of the Billionair range. Making its debut at the International CTIA Wireless event, this next-generation feature-rich business-class smartphone is touted to integrate the best user interfaces of the most popular business and consumer smartphone platforms available in the market today in order to deliver the first GSM quad-band 3.5G phone based on the Microsoft Windows Mobile Platform.

To make matters all the more interesting, the Billionair 7 smartphone is touted to offer a frameless touchscreen display accompanied by a full QWERTY keyboard for those who prefer the more traditional way of composing text messages and emails while on-the-go. This combination of interfaces will provide the user with various avenues to quickly and easily access applications via the touchscreen, while making replying of text messages and emails a snap. A 624MHz processor runs at the heart of this device, where it ought to be able to offer enough muscle to support advanced applications and handle multi-tasking without missing a beat. In addition, you will find a front-facing VGA resolution camera to handle all your video calls via 3G (or Wi-Fi), while the rear 3-megapixel camera is perfect to capture snapshots of impromptu moments when you forgot to bring out your normal digital camera.

Other features of the Billionair 7 include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, a stylus, an earpiece, a microSD memory card slot, a microUSB port, 3.5 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time. With a name like Billionair 7, you’d expect this smartphone to cost a bomb – apparently not, as it will retail for a mere $275 unlocked.

Turbine is making their MMO as accessible as possible, and that includes making players who don’t pay anything as happy as possible. Subscriptions are up 40 percent. Ars explores how free can be very profitable.
The company is still insisting that it plans to take care of its loyal customers, but the PSP Go’s early days have been nothing short of a disaster.

Brutal Legend sounds great and is one of the funnier releases this year, but the gameplay doesn’t live up to the promise of the game’s concept and world. The game is worth a rental, but all told this is a heartbreaking near-miss.

Ads in video games is a controversial subject, but JJ Richards, the GM of Massive Incorporated, breaks it down: if you manage the ads and use them well, gamers will actually enjoy their presence. We’re through the looking glass here, people.

The Left 4 Dead 2 boycott made waves in more ways than one, but like every journey, this too must come to an end. The leaders of the movement have a message for everyone: they have paved the way for peace and freedom—plus the game is priced pretty well anyway.

Blizzard is giving World of Warcraft players one month to merge their accounts with Battle.net, after which point non-Battle.net accounts will no longer be able to log into the game.

The PSP Go is having a rough time in the press, but the system has its defenders. We asked you: will you be buying a PSP Go? How much of a selling point is the size? Ninety-one percent of you said there’s no way in hell you’ll buy a PSP Go.

Everyone’s favorite ninja is back on the PS3, and this time he’s brought some friends along to fight the monsters. Ars reviews Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the PS3.

Borderlands is a game best played with friends, which is why the Steam-offered four pack is such a great deal. One of the most anticipated PC games of the year is coming your way for only $34.

Electronic Arts normally dabbles in video games, but this time round they aim to get kids more involved with reading by announcing the development of FLIPS, an innovative new book range that was specially developed for the Nintendo DS. FLIPS aims to offer kids regardless of age a fun and creative method of reading their favorite tomes. Working with several of the UK’s leading publishers of children’s books and magazines, soon schoolchildren with a DS can enjoy modern classic titles from critically acclaimed authors such as Cathy Cassidy, Eoin Colfer, Enid Blyton, alongside various writers from the popular boys series, ‘Too Ghoul for School’ on their handheld console. Each FLIPS title will boast multiple books and the first four titles will be released exclusively on Nintendo DS when December 4th rolls around in the UK. Individual FLIPS title will come with six to eight books, and will be sold separately with an expected price tag of ￡24.99. Now parents have one less excuse to prevent their kids from getting a Nintendo DS, eh?

I’m sure most of the readers of this blog probably have way too many gadgets, and these gadgets have an annoying habit of always needing to be charged. Why not have one place where you charge them all simultaneously? Well, at least you can have one place to do three at a time, which is what the Portable Charging Valet from Sharper Image is designed to do. Yes, because it is made by Sharper Image, it is a Charging Valet, not a charging mat.

All the user has to do is unfold the Valet, plug it in, and there are three cords ready to charge his or her favorite mobiles. There is a video of it in action after the jump if you want to see more. The Charging Valet comes with five of the most used power tips such as Apple, Micro USB, Mini USB, plus Samsung and LG. The valet conveniently folds up and magnetically locks together, and then can be placed in its included case that also locks magnetically. It is perfect for travelers, especially those who want to put their gadgets on the table near the side of the bed, and sleep while they charge. You should be able to obtain the Sharper Image Travel Charging Valet from the Sharper Image website for a price of $49.99.

The radio comes in both satin black and pearl white. This radio comes with all of your favorite bells and whistles. It will charge and play both iPod and iPhones, as well as having multi-standard digital and internet radio. It also has an OLED display and a joystick-controlled user interface. As well as having all of that, it also of course has your standard FM radio capabilities. Right now this isn’t out just yet, you can expect to see these shipping out as of November 4th though. At that point you can pick up the Domino D3 for £169.95 or about $270.

The Sharper Image is no stranger to clocks that double as iPod docks, like the Clock Radio we reported on the other day. This particular clock radio is made for travelers.

You can’t see this from the photo, but this L-shaped dock can fold up into a 12 X 3 rectangle, which is about the size of a hardback book. This convenient and portable shape can then be tucked into the included soft travel case, and the user can carry it around to wherever they go.

The Portable Speaker System sounds pretty good, considering it has 2.25 inch speakers that carry 3 watts each. It is powered by the AC Adapter, or four not included AAA batteries.

You can put the iPod and iPhone on the dock, and control it with the controls on the iPod or iPhone itself. The controls for setting the clock and alarm are located somewhat awkwardly underneath the base itself.

So not only can the user take an alarm with them wherever they go, but they can take their tunes as well. It doesn’t look like you can make the alarm ring to your favorite tune, though.

You can get The Sharper Image Portable Speaker System Dock for the iPhone and iPod on the Sharper Image site for about $99.99.
